best experience of my life travelling to Egypt

Emily

I honestly had the best experience of my life travelling to Egypt solo with Emily. She is a wonderful and experienced guide and companion, not only sharing her wisdom and knowledge on Egyptian culture and history, but also providing advice and guidance for me on a personal level. It was a unique experience you would not have with anyone else. I look forward to being able to travel with Emily again one day, and hope that others will too, so that they can experience that I did. ~ Bec

Where do I begin with this incredible trip I did with Emily! Well, a lot of things led to me deciding on going to Egypt. My main goal was to be able to work towards and achieve something big for myself, independently and without fear. Egypt has fascinated me since childhood but I didn’t have any friends or family that were willing to go. So I decided I would go on my own, and saw Emily was hosting her own tour, and thought that this was my chance. And I think it might have been one of the best decisions of my life (so far!)

Even though it was just us 2, I think in a way, it worked out way better than I ever anticipated. We got to experience things on a more personal level, that perhaps one wouldn’t be able to experience in a larger group. Emily was on her 6th trip to Egypt, so she was able to share with me her own knowledge and experiences with the sites and especially her understanding of the different gods and their stories I thought was quite amazing.

But Emily did more than just explain the sites in a factual manner, she also explained energy shifts she felt visiting certain areas, and what it meant for her. And in doing this she was able to guide me as well to have my own experiences, and I certainly felt a change within me at times. Sometimes it was a frequency I could hear, other times it felt like a surge of energy through my chest. It’s hard to describe exactly how it felt but the memory of those feelings stayed with me.

During the final part of our trip, Emily performed a healing on me in Aswan. By this point, we had gotten to know each other quite well and I had opened up to Emily about my family and my personal struggles, and she had given me great support throughout all of it and advised me to be kinder to myself, to worry less about trying to do things for others and to do more for myself. It did really make me start thinking that I have been trying to seek validation in others, and not really allowing myself to embrace who I am meant to be and finding validation within myself. Emily told me after the healing this word ‘validation’ kept coming up during the healing session.

I found myself incredibly sad when parting ways at the end of the trip and saying goodbye to Emily, even though I knew we would see each other again soon in Melbourne. She is the mother of a good friend of mine, but I felt like we had created our own special connection throughout the holiday and a friendship I hope will continue.

mI didn’t realize while I was in Egypt just how many changes I went through, but since being home I find myself a little bit more at peace. I’ve started to make some changes at hoe, I’ve cleared out my bedroom, ordered some new books, and even have stopped smoking cigarettes since being back in Melbourne. My new goal (since I actually achieved my last one!) is to not be afraid to do things for myself. To stand up for myself more, to create a space around me where I am treated the way I want to be and to not allow the negativity of others to dim my shine.

The moral of this story is, if you are wanting not only a unique and eye opening experience and the wonderful opportunity to travel to Egypt, but you are also wanting to begin healing yourself and to achieve a higher level of consciousness, there is no better person to do it with than Emily Kisvarda. She is a very kind and caring person and I could not have picked a better guide for my journey. I definitely hope to travel with her again one day and highly recommend her for anyone else seeking to experience something unique for themselves.
